Dadtherapy is all about showcasing things you as a dad can do to refresh, recharge, and rejuvenate so you can be the best dad you can be. So, when we sat down with Peter Nayrouz of Outnumbered Father, to talk about setting out for an epic date night (day) idea, we were stoked to see him and his wife take on Disneyworld- WithOUT the kids. So what key events, findings, and mayhem did he run into? Well join us as we uncover those very things!
Have you heard the phrase “time is money?” I’ve heard this so many times before but didn’t really fully understand what it meant. Then I started thinking about my role as a husband, father, employee, and so on, and asked myself “how am I spending my time?” If I am being honest, I probably don’t spend it the way I THINK I spend it. But what if I started to look at how I spent my “time” the same way I spend my “money?” ...
Can I keep it too real for a minute? Obviously, that’s a rhetorical question.
Anyway, let me be honest with you all. Life is H….A….R….D, and that’s me being completely honest. Work life, wife life, child life, friend life, associate life, it’s all hard. But, does it have to be? I can’t give you an honest answer on that. I can only give you my thoughts. So….here they are.
If you hate your job, that’ll translate into hating your wife, which in turn leads to hating your child, then envying friends, etc.… Is that too brutal? I don’t feel like it is. Every day that we wake up, we MUST make a decision how to spend our energy. Our energy is like water, it affects anything it touches once spilled. How do you prevent your water turning into mud you ask? Keep it YOU! But Miles, what does that mean? It simply means, find something that keeps you reminded of who you were when you were at your happiest.
This past Saturday night was a much-needed break from hearing Papa, Papa, Papa and Honey, can you help me with this or that. After a long week I was heading out to spend the evening watching a FC Cincinnati futbol match. Then after the game I would get to meet up with a fellow stay at home dad friend from out of town to shoot some skyline photography at night. Once my ride arrived we headed to our first stop of the night a bar called Hang Over Easy.

When we first started DadTherapy on Instagram our mission was simple: Show dads the importance of “me time” so dads can feel refreshed and recharged while balancing parenthood. One of our posts says it all: A well dad is a swell dad. Like many other dads out there, the transition to fatherhood and being an engaged dad at times can be stressful and challenging. We know that life demands, pressures, and stressors can pull us from what’s important. So, with #dadtherapy we can all share some laughs, some similar experiences, and some ideas on how to get in some “you time” while also being an involved dad...
